When you enter this strange world things will seem very blurry, but as you persevere and talk to/search trash bins and boxes while avoiding dangerous spikes things will slowly start to come into focus.

This game is very short and you can expect to complete it in about 15 minutes. (Opposed to my other Game Jam game that is an endless arcade shooter)

A first person platformer/collectathon made for the Idiom Jam! Theme: Leave No Stone Unturned!

it would help ( I think) if you could control the Y-impulse of a jump, at the moment every jump is at maximum impulse, which is what I expect is the main cause of the wonkiness.

(EG: short tap is low jump, long tap is high jump)

Thanks for the input, I never even thought about that, good idea! I'm considering making a version 2 with less slippery movement and if I do I will also add this.

After spending  20 minutes trying to get up the second staircase (with the box underneath the second step), I'm afraid I have to conclude the movement is a bit too slippery  which doesn't match too well with the platforming challenges you provide. I did get the first staircase after a while, but dang is it difficult to progress like this.

I like the way you combine exploration (which ties in with the theme very nicely) with platforming . It is fun to discover hidden boxes or pipes.

I do still want to finish it, but I get a bit nauseous when playing some first person view games (this happens with commercial games as well, so it's not something you can help), and this seems to be one of those games . Sorry!

It's still impressive that you managed to create a challenging little game in such a short time-span. Good job. :)

Thank you for the feedback. At the last minute I realised the movement was slippery and tried to fix it but I guess it didn't work because you are now the second person to mention it. If I ever make a full version I will certainly fix the movement. Thanks again for you feedback and I'm sorry that first person games make you nauseous (I've had that happen to me before but it was usually frame rate related).

Midair momentum is kinda weird here. It's hard (if not impossible) to stop moving in a direction once you start moving, and your momentum is tied to the direction you're facing. I coudn't even get up that staircase around the wall early on.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if I'll add any changes to this game considering that it was made for a game jam (maybe I'll do a full release version). You can stop your momentum in air but not if you're moving too fast . Try just tapping W while making small jumps. You can also turn in midair by turning your mouse (as you noticed). A combination of these techniques should be able to get you up that staircase. I promise it's possible. Both me and someone who tested my game were able to do it. Thanks again and I will definitely look into increasing midair control if more people are having this issue and/or I decide to make a full release version.
